March: Father and Son month of Friendship

This month's virtue talk focuses on the virtue of friendship. What does it mean to be a true friend and why do we need friendship? Jesus gave us the best example of friendship through his unselfish acts of kindness and most of all through the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. To become good friends with others, we start by being good friends with Jesus. This great article highlights the key relationship in Christian life through friendship. St. Thomas Aquinas tells us that "charity is the friendship of man with God" and this is one way to start our friendships with others and St. Josemaría Escrivá writes that the goal of a Christian life is to "be united in friendship with God."
