September: Into fall with perseverance

As we return to the school year and begin our activities with the boys, the virtue of perseverance will be our focus. To have fortitude for a long period of time. Some things might be new and exciting, others are continuous chores and responsibilities, but it is our practice of doing all with love that will develop our heroic character. This reminds me of a quote from Saint Josemaria Escriva, "Do everything for Love. Thus there will be no little things: everything will be big. Perseverance in little things for Love is heroism."– The Way, No. 813. With this in mind, I am sharing this post from Fr. Mike at Ascension Press. Enjoy!

Starting strong is easy, but staying strong—perseverance—is a mark of holiness. It’s easy to be excited about a new relationship, ministry, job, or school, but enduring through the dull times when that newness wears off is difficult.
